Saf-Gard Safety Shoe Company Acquires Summit Safety Shoes

Greensboro-based Saf-Gard^® Safety Shoe Company continues expanding its footprint across the US with the acquisition of Oregon’s Summit Safety Shoes.

Saf-Gard Safety Shoe Company, a family-owned company specializing in corporate safety footwear programs continues its strategic initiative to increase its footprint and diversify its portfolio. Within the last year Saf-Gard has acquired Industrial Protection Products (IPP), which added safety eyewear to its safety products line-up and UK-based Safer Safety which increased the organization's global reach. This month Saf-Gard acquired Portland Oregon’s Summit Safety Shoes, expanding its services to the Pacific Northwest including mobile shoe store service and retail stores in Portland and greater Seattle/Tacoma. The goal of this acquisition, as stated by Saf-Gard President Patrick Kubis, is to “use our knowledge and resources to ensure employees in every region of the country feel safer on the job by providing top of the line safety footwear from over 70 of the best brands.”
