Sometimes people ask us why we’re so passionate about safety shoes, and our response is simple: the work we do isn’t about shoes at all. It’s about people. That’s why we’re committed to paying it forward. From partnering with nonprofits that align with our values to constantly reevaluating ways we can improve, here are some of the big ways we love to give back.
SUPPORTING COMMUNITIES
IN CRISIS
As a family-first company, supporting our neighbors and communities in times of crisis is very important to us. After Hurricanes Helene and Milton devastated the southeastern United States in 2024, we rapidly organized a giveback campaign to support Samaritan’s Purse and Team Rubicon. Through this campaign we were able to donate $26,471.60 to support these two organizations with their boots-on-the-ground disaster relief response.
SOLES4SOULS
Every day perfectly good shoes make their way into a landfill. But this so-called “trash” can easily become an opportunity for someone in need. That’s what our partner Soles4Souls is all about. At many of our retail locations you can donate your gently used shoes, and Soles4Souls will give them new purpose.
BLUMAKA
From our BluMAX Insoles to our Ridgway hikers, we work hand-in-hand with Blumaka to bring you more sustainable options. What’s so great about this partnership is that even as we use more planet-friendly production methods, our Blumaka lineup offers way more durability and energy return than your average insoles and shoes out there.
SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING
All of our SR Max® shoeboxes use water-based inks and are made with 100% recycled materials. Even better, they’re 100% recyclable and even make for a nice addition to the compost heap.
CHOOSING PARTNERS THAT SHARE OUR VALUES
We love teaming with brands that are headed in the same direction as us. From Timberland PRO’s® goal to create a net positive environmental impact by 2030 to KEEN Utility’s focus on environmental protection, these partnerships are something to celebrate.
SHE BUILT THIS CITY
When we get the chance to support trades careers for all, we take it. We love partnering with She Built This City for this very reason. This awesome nonprofit does so much to bring equity to the skilled trades. In industries that have historically been dominated by men, She Built This City seeks to level the playing field by breaking down barriers and building pathways to lucrative trades careers for youth, women and marginalized communities. From community projects like our Service Day to rallying with our customers to donate 10% of our online sales on Giving Tuesday, we’re proud to partner with an organization that gives so much back to the trades.
